New Title

St. Mary's Cemetery

St. Mary Cemetery, located between North Third and Sixth Avenues along Regis Street, serves the Catholic people of the Stayton area.

The word cemetery means "resting place". It is in the Catholic cemetery that the Church receives her dead for safekeeping until the day of the Resurrection of the Lord. The Church teaches that the body, as the living temple of the Holy Spirit in life, will be reunited one day to the soul in immortality.

Just as you make plans for the future of your spouse and/or family by obtaining life insurance and writing a will, you need to plan for that day when you leave this life. Today you can choose your burial site when it is a family decision, well-considered, and made at leisure. Whatever your arrangements, you can take care of easing your family's burden later.

Arrangements for the purchase of a burial or cremation plot can be made by contacting the Parish Office.

Families who have lost a loved one should contact the parish priest (503-769-2656) as soon as possible to arrange for funeral services.
